The Talent Acquisition Team: You will join a team of specialist Talent Acquisition Partners who are passionate about hiring top talent that will contribute to the continued growth and success of News UK brands. Whilst delivering high quality candidate and hiring manager experience.

The Role: You will partner with your stakeholders to understand their business areas and teams. You will advise on market and hiring best practice. You will own and deliver the end to end recruitment from attraction, sourcing, interviewing through to offer. Reporting to the Head of Talent Acquisition and working closely with HR, DE&I and the wider Talent team.

Day to day you will:

  • Proactively identify and engage talent through direct sourcing methods, events and communities. Build and maintain talent pools.

  • Always hires with diversity, equity and inclusion in mind.

  • Understand candidates’ motivations, career aspirations and experience through great listening and questioning. Provide excellent, highly engaged candidate experience.

  • Maintain specialist market understanding, benchmarking and what top talent look for in an organisation they join.

  • Lead on your departments team marketing and brand proposition as well as the wider News UK employer value proposition.

  • Report on hiring metrics and applicant data to inform future hiring decisions. Present this in engaging ways to your stakeholders.

  • Contribute to People team projects, in particular; DE&I, early talent, employee experience and LT&D.

  • Work with the people team both in the UK and globally to forecast recruitment needs and identify trends.

  • Supplier management of partnerships and external agencies, ensuring we are maximising these.

  • Continuous process and ways of working improvement.

What we are looking for:

  • Talent Acquisition expertise: Proven track record of TA excellence, with a focus on direct sourcing, engaging passive candidates and advising on interviews.

  • Solutions oriented and proactive: Spots opportunities to drive improvement and works to provide different solutions where needed. We really welcome new ideas and suggestions.

  • Communication and Relationship Management: Excellent ability to build relationships. Skilled in collaboration, questioning and listening.

  • Data oriented: ability to interpret talent related data and share this with stakeholders in an articulate way.

  • DE&I Knowledge: Keeps up to the minute knowledge in the DE&I space and how this impacts TA, is able to advise on this when hiring.

  • Knowledge of the candidate market: This role covers technology, data and analytics, so experience recruiting in some of these areas is a plus.
