Talent Acquisition Partner – 15 month FTC

At Hitachi Rail we are a fully integrated, global provider of rail solutions across rolling stock, signalling, operation, service & maintenance, digital technology, and turnkey.

We are looking for a commercially minded, results driven, and energetic Talent Acquisition Partner to bring their expertise to our UK TA and wider UK HR function, on a 15 month fixed term contract basis. The role is remote based, but with regular travel around the UK dependent on business need.

As a Talent Acquisition Partner, you will be seen within the business as the subject matter expert in this field, and therefore you must have a strong drive to identify talent, and recruit experienced and qualified candidates across varying levels of the organisation, whilst working in consultation and unison with our Hiring Community, and our HR colleagues, to ensure we provide a robust, effective and quality hiring process. You will do all you can to ensure that candidate experience, and the representation of our Employee Value Proposition is at the forefront of your hiring activity.

Using your prior TA and recruitment knowledge, you will provide a consultative approach to hiring across your various operational stakeholders, which could range from corporate functions, to manufacturing departments and engineering specialisms.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a forward thinking, strategically minded individual, who has a background within either an in-house recruitment team, or comes from an agency and is looking to make the step in to an Internal team.

Salary range – £43,000 – £46,000.

What you’ll bring to the role

• Robust experience of working in an equivalent Recruiter/Resourcing delivery role in a corporate company, including administration and coordination support.
• Experience in sourcing candidates within an engineering field is essential
• Prior experience of working in a matrix organisation would be beneficial
• Experience in recruiting at all levels which will include search & selection, and ideally with LinkedIn Recruiter advanced level experience
• ATS experience/use – ideally Workday
• Vast experience in candidate and stakeholder managementand partnering, holding strong negotiation and consulting skills
• Confident with strong decision-making skills and able to take control with the ability to work well in a demanding, sometimes highly technical environment
• Ability to liaise with and influence all levels
• Experience working to tight deadlines in a fast moving and changing environment
