Make your mark for patients
We are looking for a Systems Engineer who is proactive, detail-oriented, and a strong communicator to join our Systems team, based at our UCB campus in Braine-l’alleud, Belgium.
About the Role
As a Systems Engineer, you will play a critical role in the production planning and technical support for our Biologics, Chemical, and Gene Therapy Pilot Plants. You will be responsible for managing technical aspects of equipment, system projects, and continuous improvements to ensure robust operations and operational excellence.
Who You’ll Work With
You’ll be part of the dynamic Systems team, collaborating with engineers, project managers, and technical experts across multiple disciplines to ensure smooth production planning, equipment maintenance, and system upgrades. Your role will involve interaction with stakeholders from diverse backgrounds, both internal and external to the company.
What You’ll Do
- Manage the technical aspects of equipment and systems, leading projects and improvements.
- Follow up on systems/equipment lifecycle and manage obsolescence.
- Schedule and integrate technical interventions into production planning, ensuring smooth operations.
- Lead and coordinate technical interventions, facilities revamping, shutdowns, and maintenance activities.
- Act as System Owner of different systems supporting the Pilot Plants: technical responsible for the good operation of the systems, manage access control, technical issues follow-up.
- Drive continuous improvements and innovations, collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Interested? For this role, we’re looking for the following qualifications, experience, and skills:
- Master’s degree in engineering or related field with experience in system management.
- Proven track record in project management, technical intervention, and problem-solving.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing planning tools (RTMS, MS Excel, MS Project).
- Expertise in manufacturing software and automation technologies (PCS7, Unicorn) is a plus.
- Fluent in both French and English, with excellent communication skills.
- Ability to lead teams and manage projects in a fast-paced environment.
