Job Description:

GDIT is seeking a Systems Analyst/Application SME to support the Allied Special Operations Forces Command (Allied SOFCOM) as a member of our EMITS program team in Mons Belgium.

The Systems Analyst/Customer Support Technician will serve as the functional expert for SOFCOM’s NATO Special Operations University (NSOU) Training Portal (NTP) web application, which is an existing custom-developed .NET web app hosted in Azure, that provides student and course administration functionality to NSOU administration staff, including automated workflows, and a bi-directional data interface with the Blackboard Learning Management System (LMS) where courses are hosted on, and delivered to students.

The candidate is also expected to provide front-line support for users of the system and identify higher-level issues that may require code changes to address

HOW A SYSTEMS ANALYST/APPLICATION SME WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

  • Become functional expert on the NTP web application, automated workflows, and data interface with the Blackboard LMS.

  • Interface between NSOU staff and the application developer team.

  • Organize and support NSOU user acceptance training on upcoming releases.

  • Identify and log NTP bugs and enhancement requests.

  • Develop, test and deploy bug fixes to the NTP web app code with version control via Github.

  • Identify areas for improvement in the NTP application.

  • Conduct requirements gathering for application fixes and enhancements.

  • Provide technical documentation (for IT ops/dev teams).

  • Provide system documentation (user manuals, training guides, etc.).

  • Possibly provide or assist NSOU with NTP user training.

  • Troubleshoot Tier I/II user problems with NTP (SSO, MFA, and other login issues, site navigation, etc).

  • Work with SOFCOM CIO / Information Assurance (IA) to maintain the NTP/Azure system accreditation.

  • Perform periodic duties as an Azure cloud administrator in the Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) hosting environment that the NTP operates within, such as Azure user account management of normal and privileged accounts

  • Monitoring and configuration of MFA for login authentication, resource storage utilization monitoring and configuration

  • Active involvement with CIO IA and Microsoft for heightened responses to Azure NTP cyber incidents, e.g. access log analyses at the Azure web app firewall and NTP web app levels, resource storage modifications, and support to After Action Reports (AARs).

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED

  • Security Clearance Required: Active US Secret Level Security Clearance.

  • Certifications: Must have DoD 8570 IAM or IAT Level II Certifications within 90 days of hire, e.g. Security+.

  • Education: Bachelors Degree

  • Technical Skills: Must have certified Azure Administrator training.

  • Experience: Minimum 1 year of hands-on administration in an Azure hosting environment. Minimum 2 years of hands-on .NET web application development experience.

  • Must be capable of obtaining a Belgium Status of Forces Agreement (SOFA) approval.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Working knowledge or familiarity with university-level student/course management applications.

  • Working knowledge or familiarity with NATO organization and its culture.

The likely salary range for this position is $93,500 – $126,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range. Total compensation for international positions varies by tax, social security, and immigration statuses, as well as location. Generally, an international assignment may include allowances, premium uplifts, and/or relocation or transportation benefits, above base salary range noted.
