Climate, Environment and Data Specialist

The Specialist in Climate, Environment, and Data Analysis will be instrumental in implementing Corbion’s sustainability initiatives. This role involves the collection and analysis of environmental data related to climate and nature and requires close collaboration with various teams.

Responsibilities

-Collect and analyze environmental data to monitor Corbion’s carbon footprint and other sustainability metrics, thereby contributing to the continuous enhancement of our reporting processes in accordance with the GHG Protocol and CSRD.
-Assist in the development of GHG models to forecast Corbion’s future climate emissions, leveraging data engineering expertise.
-Conduct Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) studies on Corbion products and provide sustainability support to various business units and functions.
 

About you

We are seeking a candidate who is passionate about sustainability and possesses strong analytical and data skills. Our new team member will have the following qualifications:

-A university degree in Environmental Science, Sustainable Development, Chemical Engineering, Finance/Economics/Business & Management, or Data Engineering.
-A couple of experience working in the field of sustainability.
-Understanding of data systems, data modelling techniques, and sustainability metrics.
-Familiarity corporate reporting standards (e.g. GHG protocol, GRI,  CSRD)  and with LCA  (preferred).
-Accurate, attention for details and reliable.
-The ability to engage effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.
-Fluency in English.
