We drive ESG into the heart of our business by implementing roadmaps, installing governance, processes, and reporting, and ensuring engagement across the organization.Main tasks & responsibilities:We are seeking a highly analytical and collaborative Sustainability Expert to join our team. This role will be pivotal in analysing the evolution of our Net Zero Transition Plan, our current state of play across environmental, social & governance topics, setting targets across the organization, and steering the implementation of ESG initiatives.You will partner with a broad set of internal teams including investor relations, finance, HR, engineering, product management, marketing, procurement, IT etc. with as overall goal the reduction of our environmental impact, maximizing our societal impact while promoting responsible business practices and managing our ESG performance.The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator, familiar with key reporting frameworks, ESG surveys/rating agencies, and knowledgeable in carbon accounting and decarbonization strategies.Main tasks:Research & analysis:

  • You stay abreast of emerging ESG trends, regulations, and reporting frameworks.
  • Perform CSRD & CS3D gap analysis to assess ESG performance, identify areas for improvement, developing a multiyear roadmap and following up the implementation of it through exemplary stakeholder management

Reporting and compliance:

  • As member of the Group Annual Report core team, you will support the delivery of the annual report, coordinating all key stakeholders to ensure that the report is relevant, accurate and complete.
  • You will support the Annual Report compliance with the relevant reporting framework and European legislation (CSRD, CS3D, …etc).
  • You support the consolidation and external audit of Proximus Group’s sustainability information for publication in the annual report.
  • You ensure Proximus response to ESG surveys of rating agencies by coordinating all key stakeholders, filling them in, analysing results, and defining improvement actions

Contribution to Climate Ambitions:

  • You develop a deep understanding of Proximus’ Net Zero Transition Plan and assess the impact of key projects and business decisions on it
  • You support the translation of our Net Zero ambitions into business objectives across the organization
  • You support the monitoring of the Group’s climate performance through engagement with key project teams (fleet, buildings, network, procurement, finance, …), collect information and provide overview on progress and alignment with targets for communication to top management. You develop recommendations on how to improve performance across the various decarbonization projects.
  • You conduct benchmarking to remain aligned with GHG accounting standards and continuously improve Proximus approach to carbon accounting. Perform research when needed, connect with peers and professional associates and engage with finance and IT teams to ensure collaboration and synergies on the topic of carbon management

  • Engage with stakeholders to ensure alignment and support for ESG initiatives.

Your ProfileYour profileSkills:

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data from multiple sources/systems and provide actionable insights
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Critical mindset
  • Familiar with integrated reporting concepts and have experience with reporting frameworks (e.g. CSRD, GRI, SASB, CDP, TCFD)
  • Experience with ESG surveys like CDP or Ecovadis
  • Proven past experience in carbon accounting (GHG protocol) and development of decarbonization levers
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Ability to navigate a transversal organization
  • Trilingual (NL – FR – EN)

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree
  • 5+ years’ professional experience
  • 3+ years’ experience in sustainability
