  • Ensure compliance with local regulation and global AstraZeneca policies making sure all procedures are in place, monitored and reviewed.
  • Influences the different departments for which he/she is responsible by effectively offering advisory services on safety, health, and the environment and sustainability practices.
  • Implement and develops a local environmental, health and safety strategy in coordination with Marketing Company.
  • Implement and develops AZ Spain sustainability strategy (access to healthcare, environment protection, ethics and transparency) according to global goals.
  • Deliver communication campaigns raising awareness and training to support Safety, Health & Environment topics and ssustainable management practices.
  • Ensure documented emergency response plans are established, implemented, maintained and practiced.
  • Assist line managers in the investigation of accident and other SHE events (ensure reports are made and actions are completed). Respond quickly to reports of serious and fatal accidents, notifying and report appropriate events to the AstraZeneca Global within 24 hours.
  • Be responsible for leading the periodic review of hazards using the risk assessment process, and for monitoring the associated control systems and measures.
  • Lead SHE activities based on the site such as SHE Risk Register, SHE performance and SHE priorities.
  • Lead the SHE Committee on the site.
  • Contribution to the creation of the planning of the preventive activity and direct the actions to be developed. Preparation of necessary prevention documentation. Contribute to the annual SHE Improvement Plan.
  • Assure LEED and WELL certification guidelines accomplishment.
  • Coordinate environment protection and nature restoration initiatives.
  • Staying updated on emerging ESG/sustainability trends, best practices, and regulatory developments to drive continuous improvement and innovation.

Education, Qualifications and ExperienceEssential

  • Valid qualification in Occupational Health and Safety (official master’s degree in 3 specialties)
  • Valid Bachelor’s Degree In Environmental Science, biology, chemistry or engineering
  • At least 3 years’ experience in a similar role.
  • High level of English; fluent C1.
  • Residence: Barcelona

Desirable

  • Knowledge Of Environmental Regulations and ESG reports.
  • Experience on environmental and wellbeing certifications.
