The Position 

Embark on an exciting journey with us at Boehringer Ingelheim Animal Health in France by joining our dynamic team as a Supply Planner. In this pivotal role, you will master the art of balancing demand and supply, orchestrating detailed production schedules, and strategizing around capacity constraints. All the while, you will ensure a seamless supply to our customers, collaborate with a global network of professionals, and make critical decisions that will shape the future of our operations.

This position can be only filled in Toulouse (France) with the conditions applicable there.

Tasks & responsibilities 

  • In your new role, you will manage the Rough Cut Capacity Planning, Master Production/Supply Planning, and Constrained Supply Planning using the SAP ERP system and the Advanced Supply Chain Planning System MWB.
  • Furthermore, you will work and align with the Quality function to prioritize releases, ensuring timely and full supply to our customers.
  • You will collaborate with the site procurement & API Planning team for alignment on long-range API demand, site API inventory levels, and short/medium API availability to support MPS, and will interface with all internal functions and Global Supply Chain teams to ensure efficient and economical product supply in line with VMI roles & responsibilities.
  • Additionally, you will ensure successful product launches and transfers by following up on timely SKU and master data creation, and, in the case of transfers, timely and correct transfer of demands.
  • You will be accountable for Service Level indicators such as OTIF, backorders, and Schedule Adherence.
  • Also, you will act as a change agent for supply chain improvements and underlying value streams for their products, identifying opportunities in supply planning, product formats, inventory management, campaigning strategy, to improve CSL performance in areas like reliability, lead times, responsiveness, cost, on-time delivery, and inventory levels.
  • Finally, you will support the team with enhancing Supply chain knowledge and share best practices

Requirements 

  • Master’s Degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, or related disciplines, with at least a long term experience in the manufacturing environment – experience in the Pharma industry and APICS certification are preferred
  • Long-term experience of hands-on operational in state-of-the-art processes, tools, and strategies for maximizing customer service in areas like Production Planning, Material Replenishment, and Warehousing
  • Significant understanding and direct experience with MRP-systems, particularly ERP SCM applications like SAP and Manufacturing Workbench (MWB), or comparable ERP systems. SAP experience is strongly preferred.
  • Strong analytical capabilities, proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, excellent communication and soft skills, significant change management skills, and the ability to focus on short-term performance objectives while building the mid-/long-term vision.
  • Fluency in English
