Overview

As Supply Chain Supervisor will be responsible for the coordination between the sales force and the services and operations. This person is supporting the commercial activities of the sales employees and managing all internal and administrative sales office activities and sales order processing. This person also plays a key role in ensuring the supply of our product for his/her dedicated region. Works in close collaboration with supply chain planning and the warehouse team to ensure the delivery of our products to the customers.

Responsibilities

  • Order intake & verification of specific requirements for order processing (product specs, sales & transport prices, incoterms, financial arrangements, …)
  • Liaison with inventory team for on-time availability of products
  • Transport arrangements & follow up on on-time collection and deliveries
  • Co-ordination of on-time supply of the export documentation via various sources (chamber of commerce, FAVV, Customs, transport providers, …)
  • Responsible for managing transport, including tracking performance of carriers, evaluating and participating in performance meetings, and taking the lead in evaluating different/new carriers
  • Responsible for working on a variety of logistics projects, related to the requirements of Kemin’s network of warehouses and transportation.
  • Responsible for keeping Kemin’s transportation model up-to-date and initiate projects whenever necessary.
  • Responsible for bringing any shipment issues to managementResponsible for communicating with other key areas of the business (sales, customer service, operations, etc.).
  • Provide input for operations planning, forecast and inventory management
  • Key contact person for sales
  • Key contact, internal co-ordination and administration to support the sales activities of the dedicated region
  • Smooth order processing with optimal economic efficiency and maximum customer service
  • Maintain administration and customer files for the sales area
  • Proactively participate in order prediction by running reports and contacting customers
  • Collect, check and maintain information on master data
  • Prepare colleagues as backup and act as backup during absence. As well for customer service as logistics
  • Provide timely and accurate customer services, secure that procedures are being followed
  • Prepare offers and quotations in line with the established procedures and approvals
  • Investigate and co-ordinate customer credit applications in co-operation with the financial department
  • Maintain the administration and the customer files for the sales area
  • Timely and accurate communication, administration and documentation on customer services and sales activities (internally and externally)
  • Plan shipments and provide instructions to the warehouse on the preparation of deliveries, if relevant
  • Book transportation for timely deliveries in line with the selected approved transport contracts and optimal economic efficiency, if relevant
  • Collect, check and maintain information on master data for logistics (e.g. products, customers, contracts), communicate changes to the system controllers
  • Keep accounts receivable in line with the countries requirements

Qualifications

  • Experience in a supply chain/ customer service environment
  • Strong client-facing skills and bias for action (works pro-actively)
  • Must be fluent in English
