Summary About the position: This position is located at the NAF Resources Office, Ramstein AB, Germany. This position may offer logistical support. Provides property, asset, and supply management to include control, accountability, and tracking systems of equipment, vehicles, and supplies required to support the mission the Force Support Squadrons (FSS) non-appropriated and appropriated fund (NAF and APF) instrumentalities. Responsibilities Provides property, asset, and supply management to include control, accountability, and tracking systems of equipment, vehicles, and supplies required to support the mission the Force Support Squadrons (FSS) non-appropriated and appropriated fund (NAF and APF) instrumentalities. Responsible for day-to-day management and oversight of 86 FSS Logistics program and personnel. Responsible for establishing and tracking processes for receiving, check-in, movement, storage, inventory, and issues of all categories related to equipment, assets, and funds. Primary point of contact (POC) for Logistics Warehouse operations. Inspects and evaluates Force Support activities, including compliance to Air Force Instructions (AFI’s) concerning property and storage facilities to ensure proper controls are in place to adequately safeguard assets [e.g., receipt and disposal of furniture, fixtures and equipment (FF&E), transfers between activities and other bases, resolution of property account inventory discrepancies, expendable supply item issues, and other Logistics account matters]. Controls NAF property to include reviewing property inventories, turning in, or transferring to the property list in accordance with higher headquarters guidance. Coordinates reports of surveys, NAF inquiries, and investigations. Oversees and coordinates sealed bid auctions, open auctions, and sale of NAF property. Control Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) asset disposals and track new property assets for all FSS activities. Manages vehicle fleet program to include forecasting long range vehicle requirements and obtaining higher headquarters approvals. Creates purchase requests and receiving reports in Internet Based Purchasing System (IBPS). Logistics Readiness Squadron (LRS) point of contact, requests Transportation Control Numbers (TCN) for deliveries as required, coordinates Customs requirements for commercial shipments, and resolves issues regarding Transportation Account Codes and Department of Defense Activity Account Codes (DoDAAC). Prepares budget, analyzes financial results and maintains solid financial condition. Responsible for Logistics work force management, recruitment, and staff training. Responsible for the facility management. May be a NAF or APF purchase card(s) holder or approving official (P-Card/GPC). Operates a NAF vehicle when conducting the duties of this position. Experience in operations to include warehousing, property, and vehicle management. Knowledge of a purchasing system as well as financial management, personnel management and administration policies and procedures. Must be able to provide a copy of his/her driving license. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution in order to qualify. FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program. It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying. Additional Information Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. U.S. Citizens and Non-U.S. Nationals who have resided in the U.S. or U.S. Territory for three (3) or more consecutive years immediately preceding the start of Federal affiliation. All Federal NAF employees are required by PL 104-134 to have salary payments made by electronic funds transfer/direct deposit. Probationary period may be required. Selection is subject to restrictions resulting from hiring preferences and priority consideration eligible.
