Time Type: Full TimeSummaryThe Air Export Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the air export team to ensure that all shipments are processed accurately and timely in accordance with customer requirements and company policies. This position involves supervising and coordinating the activities of a team of air export coordinators, communicating with customers, carriers, and other stakeholders, resolving issues and providing excellent customer service.Duties and ResponsibilitiesSupervise and coordinate the activities of a team of air export coordinators to ensure smooth and efficient operationsMonitor and manage the flow of export shipments to ensure compliance with customer requirements and company policiesCommunicate with customers, carriers, and other stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate delivery of shipmentsResolve issues related to shipments, such as delays, damages, or customs clearance problemsEnsure that all documentation is accurate and complete, including air waybills, commercial invoices, and other export documentsProvide excellent customer service and ensure that customer expectations are met or exceededEnsure compliance with relevant laws and regulations, including customs regulations, export controls, and hazardous materials regulationsParticipate in the development and implementation of process improvements to increase efficiency and quality of serviceEducational background / Work experienceA bachelor’s degree in transportation, logistics, international business, or a related field is preferred. However, equivalent experience in the transportation and logistics industry may be considered.Skills & CompetenciesStrong knowledge of air export operations, documentation, and regulationsExcellent communication skills, both verbal and writtenStrong problem-solving and analytical skillsAbility to work under pressure and meet deadlinesStrong attention to detail and accuracyProficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook)Familiarity with transportation management systems (TMS) and/or enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is preferredFunction / Market & Industry Knowledge / Business Acumen / ProcessesSupervisory Responsibilities (if any)This position is responsible for supervising a team of air export coordinators, including hiring, training, and performance management.Preferred QualificationsA master’s degree in transportation, logistics, international business, or a related fieldProfessional certification in logistics or supply chain management, such as Certified Logistics Professional (CLP) or Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP)Experience in project management or process improvement initiativesFamiliarity with industry-specific software and tools, such as CargoWise or CargospotLanguage skillsFluent in English (oral and written)Computer LiteracyProficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook) is required.Familiarity with transportation management systems (TMS) and/or enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is preferred.For this position, the expected base pay is: $58,700- $76,500 / Annual.
