Job description
Jesus College is looking to fill a new ‘Student Wellbeing Lead’ post to strengthen student wellbeing, support those involved in providing care to students, and develop a strategic vision for student wellbeing. The Student Wellbeing Lead will report to the Senior Tutor. As a member of the College welfare team, the Student Wellbeing Lead will work closely with the Tutors, College Nurse, and Mental Health Nurse, as well as liaising regularly with others in the College’s tutorial and welfare teams.The Student Wellbeing Lead works within the College welfare team supporting the wellbeing of the College’s students (undergraduates and postgraduates). The objectives of this leadership role include: developing a wellbeing strategy and effective policies and procedures for the College; developing, implementing, and evaluating an effective programme of wellbeing activities and events; providing support and promoting professional development to students and staff with welfare-facing roles; and coordinating coherent College responses to complex student cases.Applicants will be expected to be educated to Degree Level or equivalent and hold a recognised qualification in mental health (current registration with a relevant professional/regulatory body), or have at least 2 years’ experience of working in a mental health support role.For further details and a full job and person specification, please download the candidate information pack.Please ensure you include the name and contact details of two referees within your application form.
