PositionAs Student Success Tutor Manager you will be responsible for designing, delivering, and evaluating student support strategies, ensuring that the service remains responsive to student needs. The role would require someone to lead a team of Student Success Tutors to ensure students receive personalised academic coaching and support throughout their educational journey.This role is critical in fostering an environment where students are empowered to achieve their academic potential, overcome barriers to learning, and enhance their engagement, retention, and success.A key focus will be on early intervention to identify at-risk students and proactively provide targeted support. The role also involves collaborating with academic departments, student support services, and administrative teams to create a holistic approach to student success.This position requires strong leadership skills, an understanding of student engagement strategies, and a data-driven approach to improving student outcomes. RequirementsEssential :

  • A degree in a relevant field (Education, Psychology, Student Support, or a related discipline).
  • A PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one).
  • Experience in academic support, mentoring, or student success coaching within higher education.
  • Proven track record of leading and managing a team, ensuring high performance and professional development.
  • Proven ability to develop, implement, and evaluate student support services in an educational setting.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience in staff development and training.
  • Strong data analysis and reporting skills, with the ability to use insights to drive decision-making.

Desirable :

  • A Master’s degree in a relevant subject.
  • Qualifications in coaching, mentoring, or academic advising.
  • Knowledge of awarding body regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Strong knowledge of OFS regulatory frameworks
  • Background in educational psychology, counselling, or coaching.
