Duties:

  • Ensure that financial support is available to help students overcome the specific financial barriers they face to enable them to remain in education
  • To work in liaison with other student support staff to ensure that students have appropriate financial guidance to achieve the best outcomes
  • To administer Trips and Visits ensuring all relevant policies and procedures are adhered to and in line with college systems

Skills/Experience:

  • Knowledge and understanding of Further Education bursary funding
  • Proven organisational and administrative/IT skills
  • Experience of finance and adhering to financial procedures
  • Ability to recognise potential problems and to formulate solutions

Qualifications:

  • Five GCSE grade 4 / C (including English & Maths).
  • Previous experience in Student Finance
  • Relevant experience in an administrative role

  • Good communicator, able to communicate on a variety of different levels and adapt approach to suit the needs of students and stakeholders
  • Be confident working independently and organising own work priorities to fit department and wider business need
  • Self-motivated, proactive and professional
  • Customer/ student focussed with good level of emotional care and control
