  • Identify students needing support to engage with their studies and assist students in accessing college services and facilities
  • Collaborate with teaching staff and personal tutors to support student engagement
  • Enhance student induction and transition processes
  • Support student-led peer mentoring and buddying initiatives
  • Maintain records of student interactions in line with college policies and use data to analyse student needs and suggest improvements.

To be successful as a Student Engagement Officer, you should have:

  • Understanding of diverse student needs, student support services and current higher education trends
  • Excellent IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Office and Moodle
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise work
  • Commitment to customer service and quality improvement.
