The Center for Health Data Science (HeaDS) is looking to hire a student employee to assist with practical and administrative tasks. The start date would be 1 August 2024 or as soon as possible.About Center for Health Data Science:The Center for Health Data Science (HeaDS) is a growing center that aims to strengthen health data science skills at KU’s Faculty of Health and Medical Science. The Center is made up of a well-connected research environment supported by several grants, the SUND Data Lab which provides data science support to researchers at the faculty, and a training infrastructure unit developed within the national Health Data Science Sandbox project. Our philosophy is a relaxed work environment driven by inspired and independent people.About you:You are a student with interest in coordination or event planning. HeaDS is a hub for data science at SUND. As such, it is beneficial to have interest in the field of data science, although this is not a requirement for application.Your personal competencies:

  • You are outgoing and good with people
  • You are responsible, with good decision-making skills
  • You are self-motivated and adaptable
  • You are proficient in English. Speaking and/or understanding Danish is a plus
  • You are flexible and interested in taking on different tasks.

As HeaDS is a recently established Center, our priorities and assignments may change, and you may have to familiarize yourself with new procedures, as necessary.Your tasks:

  • Assist with course coordination; including room booking, material preparation, catering orders, and day-of support
  • Assist with website and mailing list maintenance
  • Assist with email management; including replies to inquires/questions about Center activities
  • Assist with office administration tasks; including supply ordering, facility upkeep
  • Other ad hoc tasks

Terms of Employment:
Employment conditions will be in accordance with the Collective Agreement between the Danish Ministry of Finance and the Organizations of Public Employees – governmental institutions (the OAO-S collective agreement) under HK/STAT as HK Student. Your salary will be based on seniority.
Varying working hours is to be expected, but the average working hours is 10-15 hours per week. The employment is conditioned on documentation for active enrollment at a University or similar.How to apply:
