Student Assistant, Group Finance

Do you want to work in the intersection of Finance and Pharma, then you might be just what we’re looking for! We are seeking a student who can assist with various tasks in Lundbeck’s Group Finance team, to provide support the annual wheel as well as ad-hoc priorities.

Your new role – why is this a great opportunity?

The student assistant will work 10-20 hours (to be aligned with Manager) in the Valby office. You will work with a high degree of ownership and with exposure to senior leadership, but also the ability to shape your own tasks over time. Some of the tasks that you would be expected to cover are:

-You keep track of purchase orders (in Ariba) and ensure they are delivered on time
-You validate the budget with the different Lundbeck finance divisions, e.g., Commercial, R&D, etc.
-You assist with ad-hoc compliance (e.g., ESG compliance, financial compliance, etc.)
-You are project-owner for the monthly finance newsletter, by gathering input from the different finance divisions
-You support the Lundbeck Conference Team to plan and execute Lundbeck’s annual Global Finance Conference
-You provide ad-hoc support on initiatives related to Lundbeck’s finance strategy
-You review Lundbeck excel templates and think of ways to make them more user-friendly or more efficient (e.g., with VBA, Pivot Tables, layout, etc.)
-Over time you have the opportunity to branch into other tasks, with the current student also having worked partly with ESG after expressing interest in this area             
-Other tasks you think of and would like to own.
 

You will also have the opportunity to join Lundbeck’s growing community of current and former student assistants in Lundbeck for social gatherings and networking both during and outside office hours

Your future team

Group Finance at Lundbeck is located in Valby and is ca. 50 employees in total, although you will join a smaller team of ca. 3-5 people. -You will report directly to the Business Manager in Group Finance, to support them in their work towards the SVP in Group Finance and the CFO of Lundbeck

-We are flexible and understanding of your commitments to your study and you will be able to coordinate your working hours with your manager

The position is based in Valby, Denmark, with the expectation that you are physically present at the office

What you bring to the team

Do you have the following skills and qualifications, then you might be just what we are looking for:

-Student studying BSc/MSc within Business, Data Science, Economics/Finance, or similar and you have at least 2 years left.
-Ability to structure and solve problems on your own, and deliver project-based initiatives to completion.
-Open-minded and positive attitude to be able to work with many different (senior) stakeholders.
-Experience with Microsoft Office Package
-Any significant skills in Excel with e.g., VBA, Pivot tables, etc., is highly appreciated but not required
-Any prior experience with Ariba or Impero is highly appreciated but not required
-An interest in learning more about Pharma and Healthcare
-You are able to write, speak, and read in professional English.
