The position
As a Strategy Project Lead (/Associate Strategy Project Director) in Development Strategy & Operations, you will drive and take part in a range of different strategic projects and process improvements across Development and Novo Nordisk. This includes setting and supporting implementation of the overall long-term strategic direction for Development by identifying new opportunities, strategic challenges, and industry trends. Other projects are focused on therapeutic areas within the Novo Nordisk portfolio and pipeline or strategic opportunities across the broader value chain.
Your main responsibilities will be focused on:
-Ensuring timely execution of strategic projects of high complexity
-Driving the communication towards cross-functional stakeholders including senior management
-Ensuring strategic alignment and buy-in and facilitating decision making towards a common vision
-Acting as a strategic sparring partner to the project owners and collaborate closely with colleagues in the team and various departments both within Development and across the value chain in Novo Nordisk
Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you should have:
-Relevant degree (e.g. Doctor of Medicine, master’s in business / economics / engineering, PhD in Natural Sciences) in combination with 5+ years relevant work experience (8+ years for AD role), preferably from the pharmaceutical / biotech space
-Hands on experience within Novo Nordisk’s key therapy areas
-Strong knowledge of the drug development (and life cycle management) process e.g. from direct participation in global project teams within the pharmaceutical and / or biotech space is considered an advantage
-Extensive project management expertise with a track record of driving projects of strategic nature and change management initiatives
-Experience with collaboration across functions and organisational levels including experience in interacting with senior leadership
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and solid analytical skills

In Development Strategy & Operations, we support the Development organisation in setting and achieving its strategic aspirations. We drive and take part in strategic projects across areas and functions both within the Development organisation and across the full Novo Nordisk value chain. The position provides an exciting learning and career opportunity, as you will be joining a high performing team working with stakeholders across Novo Nordisk.
