Strategic Operations Buyer – Logistics (f/m/x) in Mars Global Service Commercial Department Location: Poznań/ Warsaw Hybrid working * Fully virtual recruitment experience * This role manages Cross Border Transport buying operations activities in a region to create a lean end-to-end support for the Transport logistics category for several sites and countries across Mars segments (Mars Snacking, Pet Nutrition, Food). Buyer works closely with the sourcing & operations buying managers and Supply Chain teams and is responsible for the efficient and effective execution of the Logistics Buying strategy activities in the EU region. What will be your key responsibilities? Purchase Transport services by securing price, capacity & service levels in line with commitments to the business and as per the sourcing strategies by applying a wide range of sourcing tools (e.g. negotiation, e-procurement, strategic collaboration, etc.). Manage day-to-day commercial (procurement) operations for Logistics Buying and resolve potential issues. Assess and develop suppliers to meet business needs and opportunities, be the point of contact for existing and potential new suppliers. Analyze the supplier bids using Excel, Power BI and E-sourcing tools. Project management the yearly cross border transport tender. Interact with Mars Commercial Services (MCS), Sourcing Excellence Team, eSourcing team to efficiently run the end-to-end procurement process and optimize ways of working. What are we looking for? Bachelor’s degree, (preferable Supply Chain/Industrial Engineering/Procurement/Economics) 3 + years of professional experience in supply chain or procurement. Ability to analyze data and assess information quickly, expert in Excel. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent planning and organizational skills. Fluent English and Polish language are a must (other languages like German/French are nice to have). What can you expect from Mars? Contract of employment.
