You will report to the Head of Global People & Corporate Affairs (GPCA) and be a member of both the GPCA leadership team and LEO Pharma’s extended global leadership team (eGLT).As the Strategic HR Business Partner for the commercial functions in LEO Pharma your role will be to support the Executive Vice Presidents in driving their organizational development by pro-actively advising, recommending, designing, and implementing initiatives within their areas of responsibility – on topics such as talent management, organizational design, capability building and team development. In your role, you have indirect HR reports based in Germany, UK/Ireland, France, Italy, Iberia, China, Japan, and North America who each support you locally and as a collective form a wider HR Community in LEO. Your role will also be to nurture and continue developing this community together with your fellow SHRBP colleagues.Additionally, you will be a member of the HR Development Steering Committee, responsible for aligning and giving commercial input and feedback to our global development activities within HR.Lastly, you will represent Global People and LEO on various boards, councils, and temporary project teams established to manage mergers & acquisitions, off/near shoring, outsourcing, and insourcing.Your roleCommercial (each GLT area)
- Proactively identify, analyze, and challenge the current situation within the GLT areas to ensure the presence and implementation of the right capabilities, organizational structures, processes, interfaces, governance, and tools/systems to meet strategic requirements for the GLT area and LEO.
- Recommend and implement required initiatives to ensure timely and efficient execution of the above.
- Act as a trusted advisor and confidant in all people-related matters within the GLT areas in relation to the respective EVPs.
- Develop the senior leadership teams and individual members within the GLT area.
- Promote the HR agenda and act as part of the leadership team in NA and PSIO.
Across GLT areas
- Identify areas for cross-fertilization and alignment through best practice sharing from single countries, GLT functions, or globally developed initiatives. Breaking down silos.
Affiliate level
- Ensure effective local HRBP representation that supports respective countries.
- Develop team members to ensure the right competencies are in place for current and future needs.
- Maintain an efficient and well-functioning HRBP function that supports leadership teams and employees within the affiliate.
- Promote collaboration between HR and other departments across countries.
- Foster proactive working relationships within the HR operating model, including Global People Shared Services, Talent Acquisition, and HRBP.
Your qualificationsTo succeed in this role, we imagine that you have the following qualifications:
- MSc in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a similar field
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in a complex organizational and international setting with an in-depth understanding of HR
- At least 5 years of experience leading people and teams
- Experience in both global and affiliate HR would be highly beneficial
- Ability to identify, prioritize, and focus on key challenges and drive for results
- Strong strategic understanding and conceptual skills
- Experienced presenter and communicator
- Fluent in English, both spoken and written, with the ability to build trustful relationships across cultural, professional, and geographical distances
