Your new role
As a Statistician in CMC Drug Product & Process Development, you’ll support the development of products, manufacturing processes and analytical methods alongside six competent colleagues. Your expertise will bridge the gap between complex statistical challenges and practical business solutions, collaborating with stakeholders across the organization to balance business needs with quality requirements.
Your responsibilities will include:
– Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop, deliver, and present statistical solutions in clear language, ensuring they are used as intended
– Engaging proactively with internal stakeholders to identify opportunities for innovation and drive the adoption of new ideas within the organization
– Applying advanced statistical methods including linear mixed models, design of experiments, general explorative statistics, multivariate statistics, and statistical process control
– Developing and teaching courses and workshops in statistical topics to build capability across the organization
– Documenting your analyses in statistical reports and performing peer reviews of colleagues’ analyses and reports
Your new department
In CMC & Product Supply, we cover the full value chain from drug and device development to marketed Novo Nordisk products. We are more than 30,000 colleagues across the globe with the shared responsibility of scaling molecules, processes, devices, and products, dedicated to supplying life-saving medicines to the patients who need them most.
You will be part of CMC PAT & Statistics, a function of approximately 45 highly competent colleagues with the shared goal to support the Novo Nordisk drug development pipeline. Within this sits our team of six statisticians who value creativity, innovation, and the ability to work with people of different backgrounds. We focus on standardizing and optimizing work processes, and you’ll have ample opportunity to develop your professional and personal skills as well as influence your own role.
Your skills & qualifications
We’re looking for a curious and detail-oriented statistician who can simplify complex matters and communicate clearly with scientists, management, and regulatory authorities. You’ll bring with you:
– A master’s degree in statistics or engineering, or a Ph.D. in statistics
– At least some years’ experience from a similar position in the pharmaceutical industry with a proven track record
– A strong background in mathematical statistics and the ability advanced statistical methods to real-world challenges
– The ability to work independently with high levels of engagement and a drive to make improvements where you see possibilities
It would be considered an advantage if you have experience with:
– SAS for Windows and SAS JMP
– R and/or Python
– GIT
