Job description

In your new job you will:

• Physical Design of discrete MOSFET chips based on Si / SiC technologies
• Physical verification (LVS, DRC checks)
• Improvement and automation of Layout Methodology and Workflows: creation of automation scripts (Shell, Cadence SKILL, Python, etc.), optimization and automation of documentation etc.
• Coordination of product layout activities between different departments and FE / BE sites (Munich, Villach, Kulim, El-Segundo, Dresden, etc.), including floorplan, layout, verification, Job Deck Viewing (JDV), tape-out and maskorders
• Design Interface for product development for all Layout topics and backend development

Your Profile

Join our collaborative team, working closely with technology engineers, software developers, and product designers to integrate physical design and programming seamlessly.

You are best equipped for this task if you have:

• A degree in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering or comparable
• At least 3-5 years of experience in layout (technology and/or products) and design technology (like PCells, DRC, LAPO, JDV, DP, etc.)
• Extensive hands-on experience with CAD tools for layout and verification, including Cadence (Virtuoso) and Mentor (Calibre)
• Unix/Linux OS experience
• Programming and scripting language background (Cadence SKILL, Shell, Tcl/Tk, Python) as a big advantage
• Proficiency in optimizing physical components and writing clean, efficient code for embedded systems
• Knowledge of semiconductor power technologies, as a strong plus
• Fluent German and English language skills

We offer competitive salaries and additional benefits based on your performance, experience and qualification. The employment is in accordance with the collective salary and wage agreement for employees of the electrical and electronics industry, employment group G (https://www.feei.at/leistungen/informations-service/mindestlohne-und-gehalter). The monthly salary is paid 14 times p.a. We offer a higher compensation depending on your expertise and skills.
