Sr. Accountant (m/f/d)

Nordex Italy is looking for a Senior Accountant on a Permanent basis to join the team at our office in Rome.

The role is responsible for bookkeeping, accounting and controlling support, as part of the finance function.

YOUR TASKS:

• Accounts payable and accounts receivable management
• Vendors’ payment management
• Purchase order and invoice matching
• Accounts and bank reconciliations
• Support to the junior accountant, if required
• Employees’ travel expenses monitoring
• Support relevant operations staff regarding finance accounting processes and procedures, e.g., cost centre reviews
• Assist where required with the annual budget process for the region and update forecasts when required
• Assist where required with annual audit
• VAT statements establishment and other Italian tax compliance
• Monthly, quarterly and annual closing finalisation
• Always have an open eye for new ways of working, automatisation process improvements
• Any ad hoc finance tasks & projects

YOUR PROFILE:

• At least five years of accounting and/or controlling experience, preferably in an international environment
• Experience of financial control of multi-million EURO projects is ideal, not compulsory
• Excellent analytical ability, with a feel for numbers as well as strong interpersonal and intercultural skills
• Equally important is excellent communication skills
• Highly motivated, business oriented and used to work independently within a matrix based organisation
• Italian, with good English skills.
• Bachelor of Finance or similar
• Experience of the financial control and reporting requirements
• Good working knowledge of SAP + Business analyser
• Microsoft Office, specifically Excel & Powerpoint
