Summary Who May Apply? US Citizens currently residing within the commuting area of SHAPE, Belgium (not ordinarily resident in Belgium). US resident alien family members of US sponsors who are citizens of NATO countries other than Belgium. Non-US Nationals must have resided in the US or U.S. Territory for three (3) or more continuous years immediately preceding the start of Federal affiliation. These two (2) positions are located at the USAG Benelux, DFMWR, SHAPE Fitness Center, SHAPE, Belgium. Responsibilities Supports activities and services of the athletics and intramural sports program. Provides Oversight of events and tournaments. Maintains cleanliness and organization of the facilities. Ensures adherence to regulations and safety procedures. Monitors, cleans and performance minor maintenance on athletics equipment. Assists in setting up for special events and sports tournaments. Assists with publicity of events and tournaments. Assists with the delivery and placement of promotional materials. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Demonstrated ability and experience that provided a knowledge of the physical and psychological factors in individual and team sports, and the nature, purposes, and organization of recreational or competitive individual and team sports. Examples are included but not limited to duties performed such as: Assisting setting up and publicizing special events and sports tournaments, delivering flyers and other promotional materials and assisting customers. Highly Desired Qualifications 1. One year of full-time work experience in the sports and fitness industry. 2. Currently nationally recognized certification in First Aid, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), and Automated External Defibrillator (AED). Pay-Band Allowances and Differentials Sunday premium pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. If authorized, only regular (full-time, part-time, limited tenure and seasonal) employees may be paid Sunday premium pay. When authorized, Sunday premium will be paid at the rate of 25% of the basic rate for all hours of non-overtime, when any part of the scheduled tour of duty is performed on Sunday (to a maximum of 8 hours per Sunday). Night differential may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. PCS Costs Payment Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs is not authorized based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the Government’s interest.
