Specialist Teacher – Swindon, WiltshireFull Time – £34,000 – £39,000 per annumAre you a Qualified Teacher looking for a change of scene?Is a supportive community and environment important to you?We are excited to have a vacancy for a Specialist Teacher to join our team at our fantastic, newly refurbished SEN school based in Swindon, Wiltshire. Our school educates and supports students with SEN, SEMH needs, Autism, ADHD, so we are excited to look for a Specialist Teacher that is well versed in supporting special educational needs. Our school is dedicated to helping students to reach their full potential and encouraging them to re-engage with their education. We want to onboard a committed Specialist Teacher to the classroom as soon as possible this term!The school has just opened the doors to a purpose-built building, with the aim of providing children with high standards of education and personalised support, tailored to their needs. As a Specialist Teacher, the role responsibilities include planning and delivering a varying curriculum to children with specail education needs potentially related to speech, communication, cognitive skills and sensory/physical requirements.Specialist Teacher Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting a class of 4-5 students
- Planning, leading and teaching classroom activities
- Monitoring and recording progress both academically and against EHCP’s
- Working closely to keep students engaged, motivated and inspired by linking their personal interests to the curriculum
- Working closely with Teaching Assistants so they can effectively support pupils
