We’re looking for a Visual Merchandising Specialist to support the Nike fleet in Italy and Greece. The role will be based out of our Italian headquarters in Milan, Italy, and is part of the wider Retail Marketing Team.The VM team is the team that delivers epic consumer experiences led by product, advised by the business, and in service of our consumers. Our role is to know what motivates and encourages them. In Visual Merchandising, we are committed to crafting authentic, connected, and distinctive premium experiences for our consumers.You are responsible for VM& experiences that will elevate the emotional ground-breaking power of innovative products for our stores across concepts. The main task will be overlooking the VM direction for your doors across Italy & Greece. You’ll build close relationships with in-store VM team members, and collaborate with key business partners and vendors. You’ll brief, mentor, and train in-store VM. You’ll ensure that the visual merchandising strategies support the overall business strategy. In addition, you will work on local store opening & refit projects. You will be the connector to communicate directions to the store and Retail Marketing teams and you will work cross-functionally within the Milan RM & EMEA store marketing team. You will report back to the VM manager in Milan.WHAT WILL YOU WORK ON?
Is this you? Here’s what a typical day/week looks like.You will work daily with store teams to implement and guide the VM&S directives across our fleet. You will build together with the in-store VM&S team positive relationships between Retail Director (RD) and Retail Manager (RM) and visit stores virtually or physically. This will go hand in hand with daily operational tasks like:Supporting the planning and execution of seasonal and daily VM & Styling ethos and approach across our Nike fleet to drive inspiration whilst serving the businessSeek: Drive a clear consumer journey of visual presentation across the fleet that owns the consumer through a premium brand experience and key moments in the retail spaceBrief, train, and mentor VM&S instore leads and cascade strategiesLead local store opening & refit worksDaily cross-functional alignment with CDM teams (city & league plans)Research lifestyle, demographic, design, and styling trendsUnderstanding of critical metrics and business needsObsessing the consumer & member journey through the store and making sure our Nike Fleets encourage the consumer in a meaningful wayEducate and support our store-based VMS teams to be able to drive the best store experience every day and maintain our standardsSupporting the execution of instore activations to improve the member’s experience through phenomenal product storytelling and VM executionsCollaborate with the wider Marketing team in Milan and EHQ on the VM operating model across the Nike Direct conceptsWorking collaboratively with our Consumer Insights function, Store teams, and Retail team to continuously understand how consumers to shop and build this into our execution plans.WHO WILL YOU WORK WITH?
In this role you will partner with store VM&S and leadership teams, VM&S and Consumer Direct Marketing Teams in Milan and EHQ, Retail Business teams, as well as functional teams in space planning and other project teams.WHAT YOU BRING TO NIKE:
A successful candidate will be encouraged to clearly demonstrate and articulate the experience of the below crucial requirements in order to be considered. Candidates that meet these criteria will then be assessed based on the proficiencies also outlined below.First years of relevant and proven work experience as a visual merchandiserSolid experience in field visual merchandising, including window displays, signs, interior displays, and space utilizationIdeally with VM&S fleet management experience, or mentor and management experienceKnowledge of current visual merchandising trends and standard methodologiesAbility to drive processes and share visions with wider partnersProficiency in MS OfficeProficiency in EnglishCreative and entrepreneurial & problem solverAbility to travel 40% – Driving License requiredThis job posting will be closed on the 17th of October.
