Long-Term Teachers are here to support you! We have multiple teaching vacancies for September, including full-time and part-time positions. We work with lots of schools, including special educational needs schools, who are constantly looking for college teachers to join their team.We work with schools and colleges that provide support to support students with additional needs, including SEMH, PMLD, SLD and learning and communication difficulties. There are opportunities to support students and young adults up to the age of 25 years old.We are looking for a teacher who can be responsible for the education and welfare of all students in their care. You must also be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people – an enhanced adult and child DBS will be required.Main duties:

  • Create and maintain a safe and enjoyable learning environment that is inclusive for all
  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the national curriculum
  • Monitor and implement strategies and interventions in line with they students EHCP
  • Establish a rapport with students to develop their social and emotional wellbeing
  • Manage behaviour effectively and support students during learning activities
  • Promote teamwork, sharing of good practice and supporting colleagues
  • Work closely with support staff and other professionals

About you:

  • QTS or previous college lecturing experience
  • Previous experience working with people with additional needs
  • Excellent understanding of the national curriculum
  • Strong understanding of SEN and strategies to support young people
