We would love to talk with you!As a Specialist Business Intelligence you’ll be responsible for leading the BI service delivery to allocated Client accounts. In addition, you’ll have a chance to oversees the extraction of data from various databases to provide monthly, quarterly and ad hoc reporting for operational and strategic stakeholder initiatives.Key AccountabilitiesYou’ll support our success by:Collaboration and Stakeholder Management
- Effectively builds and manages relationships with relevant BI stakeholder groups and ensures effective collaboration, receiving support as needed when managing senior stakeholders
- Communicates to stakeholders effectively, ensuring their expectations are appropriately managed
- Demonstrates understanding of the key stakeholders’ roles and account commercials as well as strategic priorities within the accounts they support
- Collaborates effectively with colleagues in BI teams and across AMS
Innovation
- Significantly contributes to BI strategic projects
Operational Excellence
- Ensures high-quality, accurate, and timely reporting is delivered to AMS clients, accounts, and internal stakeholders
- Ensures the reports produced for the account/AMS team they support are regularly reviewed and updated and/or enhanced in line with guidelines provided
- Identifies and raises risks in a timely manner. When needed, requests support in a timely manner
- When applicable, collaborates with BI Business Partners in ensuring BI provides an optimal service and that issues are identified and resolved
- Supports projects and/or programmes to improve the BI Reporting Service
Compliance
- Ensures they are compliant with AMS policies and acts as a SME for junior colleagues
- Ensures their delivery is in line with best practice approach used in the Reporting Team including ensuring they adhere to data privacy and information security best practice and guidelines
- Ensures documentation of their reports is up to date
In this role you will also:
- Contribute to delivery of key strategic projects in line with BI and/or AMS strategies
- Support junior team members and helps them overcome obstacles in delivering their own projects or improvements
- Ensure they constantly develop their technical, commercial, and soft skills in line with BI/AMS behaviours and strategies
Skills & ExperienceYou’ll need to demonstrate:Required:
- Excellent VBA programming skills
- Excel power user, emphasis on pivot tables, formulas and charts
- Strong experience with relational databases (Access)
- Experience of building reports using extraction methods and formatting.
- Strong working knowledge of all Microsoft packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Desirable:
- Experience of using human resource and recruitment technology databases and workflows
- Experience using Business Objects or any other similar reporting tool
- Experience responding to customers / clients
- Work experience in a similar role
- Demonstrates a high level of energy and proactivity when interacting with all stakeholder groups
- Identifies potential problems and acts escalates these where appropriate
- Identifies opportunities for improvement and shares these during team meetings
