Job Description

As a Specialist Application Engineer, you will support Infineon’s customers by providing technical expertise and guidance on subjects such as analog circuits, software, and hardware. You’ll also work closely with our research and development teams to share your knowledge and improve our products.

In your new role you will:

• Be the go-to-person for Infineon’s worldwide customers and field application engineers about automotive mixed-signal applications using 32bit microcontrollers
• Be responsible for enabling customer solutions using our built-in VCXO Oscillator, PLL, EVADC, Delta-Sigma ADC, CDSP, and DAC of our 32bit microcontrollers
• Enable customer to design sophisticated analog circuits on a system level to implement switching, filtering (SW & HW), signal conversion, and further analog functionality
• Strive to constantly and consistently exceed our customers’ expectations by providing technical support from product to system-level
• Replicate customer issues found in software and hardware to solve and fix them by providing interim solutions to keep our customers’ application development ongoing
• Provide documentation, application notes and demo software including software and drivers
• Collaborate and share your knowledge with R&D.

Please note that we offer an external temporary contract of 1 year with the possibility for future conversion into a permanent one. 

Your Profile

You possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, thriving in highly motivated team environments. Your proactive and dynamic approach allows you to actively listen to customers, valuing their perspectives, thoughts, and ideas, and enabling you to effectively balance their requirements with Infineon’s interests. Your strong problem-solving skills empower you to remain focused on achieving effective solutions, consistently striving for continuous improvement.

You are best equipped for this task if you have:

• A degree in Information Technology, Computer Sciences, Software Engineering, Electronic Engineering or similar field of studies
• Previous experience with devices in the automotive domain
• Basic knowledge and background in mixed-signal and embedded software development in C
• Availability to travel occasionally
• Fluency in English.
