Job Description

As a Specialist Application Engineer, you will be the go-to person for our global customers and Field Application Engineers, providing expert guidance, benchmarking, and performance optimization for microcontroller software products and applications. You will collaborate and share your knowledge with R&D and drive customer success.

In your new role you will:

• Be the go-to-person for your worldwide customers and Infineon’s Field Application Engineers analyzing and answering technical requests, performing benchmarking and performance evaluation/optimization activities and repeating findings in the lab
• Support the enabling of our customer’s applications using Infineon’s microcontroller software products (e.g., by preparing demo material)
• Contribute to training Field Application Engineers or customers in the area of your technical expertise
• Support software design-in at our customers with detailed product expertise of Infineon’s 32bit microcontrollers
• Strive to constantly and consistently exceed our customers’ expectations by providing technical support from product to system-level, including software
• Conduct development and feasibility studies on embedded software applications
• Compile technical concepts and application documentation
• Collaborate and share your knowledge with R&D.

Please note that we offer a permanent external contract if all requirements are met. Otherwise, we offer a temporary (1 year) external contract.

Your Profile

As a proactive and enthusiastic team player, you’ll leverage your strong communication skills to actively listen to customers, balance their needs with Infineon’s interests, and drive solutions that exceed their expectations. With a flexible and adaptable mindset, you’ll stay focused on continuous improvement, tackling complex problems with ease and enthusiasm. By being personally committed to customer success, you’ll thrive in a fast-paced environment.

You are best equipped for this task if you have:

• A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electronic Engineering or similar field of studies
• At least 0-5 years of experience with devices in the automotive domain
• Knowledge of embedded software development in C, ideally on both application and low-level side, profiling and debugging skills is mandatory
• Availability to travel occasionally
• Fluency in English.
