Then this role is for you!Prospero Teaching is looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistant to work with children who have autism at a specialist school in Poole. In this role, you will help students access their learning in an inclusive, supportive environment. You’ll be engaging with children through play-based learning, using creative activities to build confidence, encourage social interaction, and develop essential skills.The school is an all through school, from ages 3-19.CONTRACT/POSITION DETAILS

• Location – Poole
• Position – SEN TA
• Contract or position start date – ASAP
• Contract type (temp/perm/temp to perm) – Temporary – Permanent
• Full time/part time – Full time
• Minimum rate of pay – £13.09 per hour
• Hours – 09:15am – 15:30pm

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Calming mannerisms in challenging situations.
• Driven to motivate the pupil and increase his participation.
• The ability to grow individual personal development.
• Be caring, patient and have good communication skills.
• Be self-reflective, have a willingness to learn and demonstrate initiative.
• Experience supporting an individual with Autism.
• Willing to complete Safeguarding online training.

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

• Hold Right to Work in the UK
• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
• Provide two professional child related references that cover at least the last two years
