If so, we want to hear from you!Role Overview: We are seeking a dedicated Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) to join our team in Bedford. As a SEN TA, you will work closely with students with a range of special educational needs, providing tailored support to help them achieve their full potential. You will assist in implementing individual education plans (IEPs), support classroom activities, and provide one-on-one assistance as required. Your role will be pivotal in creating an inclusive learning environment where every student feels supported and valued.Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one support to students with special educational needs, both in the classroom and during individual sessions.
  • Assist in the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs) and behavior management strategies.
  • Support the teacher in planning and delivering lessons that cater to the diverse needs of students.
  • Foster a nurturing and inclusive learning environment where every student feels encouraged to participate and succeed.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and external professionals to ensure the holistic development of students.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate effectively with relevant stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or SEN TA, preferably in a similar setting.
  • A genuine passion for supporting students with special educational needs and a commitment to inclusive education.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
  • Patience, empathy, and resilience when faced with challenging situations.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in special educational needs would be advantageous but not essential.
