Job description
We are seeking a compassionate and patient SEN Teaching Assistant to work 1:1 with a student at a vibrant primary school in the Settle area. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience in supporting children with special educational needs to make a real impact in a child’s learning journey.Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the class teacher to support the learning and development of a student with additional needs.
- Deliver tailored interventions and learning activities that meet the individual needs of the pupil.
- Monitor the progress of the student, providing feedback to teachers and SEN coordinators.
- Help manage challenging behaviour in a supportive and consistent manner.
- Promote social inclusion and support the emotional well-being of the student.
Requirements:
- Experience working with children with special educational needs (SEN) in an educational setting.
- Patience, empathy, and strong interpersonal skills.
- A commitment to fostering a safe and positive learning environment.
- Relevant qualifications in education or child development (desirable but not essential).
