About the Role:
The Southern Cluster Contract Specialist supports the Legal team in the Southern Cluster (Italy, Spain and Portugal), acting as a business partner supporting all business units in the countries. In the role, they provide oriented legal advice and support in relation to commercial contracts and interactions with healthcare professionals and healthcare institutions. The selected candidate will demonstrate business acumen, customer focus and enjoy working independently in a highly motivated team, fully utilizing their contract management, organizational and analytical skills. 
The selected candidate will report into the Cluster Senior Legal Counsel and functionally report to Legal Counsels in the HUBs for the Cluster.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

-Non-commercial interactions: Drafting and reviewing contracts related to non-commercial interactions (i.e. sponsorship, proctorship, preceptorship …) with healthcare professional and organizations (HCP and HCO) for the countries in the Cluster; ensuring that contracts submitted meet local legal requirements and Boston Scientific guidelines; drafting and maintaining bilingual (Italian/Spanish-Portuguese) standard contract templates, under the supervision of the local legal counsels from Boston Scientific HUBs in the Cluster; supporting in providing training to promote consistency and efficiency in the contracting process aligned with the applicable legislation.
-Commercial Contracts: Drafting and reviewing standard commercial contracts (loan, rental, demonstration agreement, and service contracts), including support on the coordination of contract amendments and terminations based on BSC or third-party templates. Support on the maintenance and update of the commercial contracts data base already created by Local Legal.
-Assist in drafting, and review of I) distribution, agent, Commercial Third-Party Customers contracts, and II) suppliers and sourcing contracts for the BSC HUBs in the Cluster.
-Assist Legal Counsels from Boston Scientific HUBs in the Cluster on the preparation and drafting of training sessions and presentations related legal topic.
-Assist legal counsels from the Boston Scientific HUBs (and European Data Privacy Officer) on GDPR topics; in particular:

-drafting and reviewing Data Processing Agreement in Italy with Customers and Suppliers. In particular for Italy, dealing Customers requests for documentation and information regarding Boston Scientific capital equipment and remote monitoring systems that allow data processing;
– reviewing and updating consent forms in use in the Cluster;
-be the first point of contact for recurrent GDPR questions from the organization.
-Legal procedures: Support major procedures by participating in the development/production and posting of legal documentation, in the modifications of procedures when needed to ensure consistency with other Function Procedures such as Finance, Quality, Regulatory, and follow-up.
-Establish and maintain communication and collaboration with other members of the legal and compliance team.
-Live and promote the company values, focusing on adding value to our business and customer needs, ensuring that all interactions and contracts meet the highest ethical and professional standards.
-Support on the coordination for Legal and Compliance meetings needed by HUB Legal Counsels. 
 

What are we looking for in you:

-Great academic record of background studies as Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Law.
-Italian or Spanish mother tongue; fluent in the other language, and in English. 
-Working experience (minimum 3 years) in the Medical Device or Life Science sector is preferred.
-Knowledge of European and Public Procurement Law in the countries will be considered a plus.
-Strong communication skills and the ability to communicate complex issues in an understandable way. 
-Good interpersonal skills with a “can-do” attitude that distinguish you. 
-Enjoy working in cross-functional teams and willing and able to work reliably.

Location: the position is open to work from either Milan or Madrid (our Souther Cluster offices), on a hybrid working schedule, based on the location of the candidate.
