We are looking for a talentedSenior Sourcing Specialist – Fluid & Air EMEAto join our team for CUMMINS in Marktheidenfeld (permanent, full-time, remote).

Your tasks

• Oversee the purchasing category (sourcing of technical components and ownership of supply base).

• Develop purchasing category strategies with global scope.

• Managing daily purchasing activities and allocating tasks, escalation management.

• Coordinate all procurement activities from start of production to end of life for the electrical systems categories.

• Creation and processing of supplier inquiries up to supplier selection in coordination with global category management.

• Ensuring supplier relationship management, including sustainable communication and performance management.

• Lead supplier projects, discussions and supplier audits, supplier contracting and supply chain risk mitigation.

• Continuous improvement of the key process and development of commercial and cost reduction opportunities.

• Launching a new product.

Qualifications

• You have successfully completed your studies in the field of (industrial) engineering, economics or mechanical/electrical engineering.

• 3 to 5 years of professional experience in the field of purchasing and/or project and/or product management (automotive, industrial background).

• Proficiency in English is required, other languages are a plus.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Strong analytical, critical thinking and negotiation skills

• Willingness to undertake business trips, (25% – Europe)
