Position overview
Do you have an experience working with global suppliers and purchasing raw materials? Are you willing to work in a multicultural environment and develop your career in Procurement? Join allnex as Raw materials Sourcing Manager for EMEA region. You will be responsible for purchasing and management of major raw materials for the Crosslinker allnex business within Europe, through direct procurement responsibilities.
Responsibilities
• Category Management of regional Raw Materials, including commercial activities on contract negotiation, management, development, approval, implementation and maintenance;
• Develop upstream and downstream market and product knowledge for these raw materials (covering a.o. suppliers, production processes, technologies, capacities usage, supply/demand balance, economics, market trends, etc.);
• Define and implement the regional sourcing strategy by means of developing a rich pipeline of TCO reduction projects by execution of RFP’s, conducting of supplier negotiations and drive project maturing until execution;
• Act as primary contact and responsible for world-class supplier relationship management of key suppliers in the assigned portfolio.
• Collaborate closely with the business stakeholders (focal point for EMEA Crosslinker business);
• Deliver on the agreed global target for annual savings for these raw materials;
• Managing supply risk, and supporting escalated supply issues resolution;
• Manage cash flow through achieving DPO targets, implementing consignment/VMI programs and management of SCARS;
• Regional raw material markets expertise, monitoring and price forecasting; translating new developments/concepts from the regional market into new opportunities;
• Strong Project management skills: ability to implement strategic initiatives through a systematic sourcing process;
• Qualify new raw materials and suppliers using Management Of Change process;
• Represent the regional category in regional cross-functional forums and programs (E.g. NPI, CM management, regional procurement programs and reviews).
Required skills and experience
• Degree in Economics or Engineering, preferably combined with MBA;
• 5+ years of experience in Direct Procurement, Commercial, Supply Chain or Technical group;
• Experience in working with (large) global suppliers, in & outside the region, and Key Raw Materials;
• Solid understanding of the petrochemicals’ main feedstocks’ and raw materials’ markets, including supply demand balances and supplier cost drivers;
• Ability to synthesize complex information and formulate strategic or tactical approaches based on analysis;
• Excellent Communication, Negotiation & Presentation Skills (in English);
• Ability to work under minimal supervision with broad direction;
• Action oriented and performance driven;
• Fluency in English (Additional languages will be an advantage).
