Description

In that respect, we are currently designing a vendor management program that will be at the core of AXA’s ability to leverage external suppliers and competencies.

Teams work together to enable the change by:

  • Proactively and strategically manage our global and multi-country vendors to drive maximum value to AXA and leverage our scale
  • Develop short, medium and long-term Category Strategies & demand management with business stakeholders
  • Support innovation through harnessing the experience and creativity of our existing and future vendors and developing AXA’s attractiveness to the best vendors
  • Anticipate and proactively support the evolution of the external workforce through the creation of a COE for Professional Services and Contingent Labor to drive conscious Make or Buy decisions
  • In addition, for Insurance Procurement, provide entities with solutions and support on a pull basis to reduce the cost of claims, secure customer delight & retention
  • Build a secure vendor ecosystem through creating a vendor risk framework and applying focus in selected areas (e.g. outsourcing, new regulation & compliance requirements

The Senior BP develops and executes global / multi country sourcing strategies which are aligned to business objectives and will enable to achieve sustainable cost and quality benefits in AXA globally. She / He plays a major role in animating the Procurement Community on the category, will work collaboratively with Business stakeholders and legal counsels to fulfill sourcing and contracting needs from an operational up to more strategic standpoint. She / He animates the Key Vendor Program on his/her category’s scope. She / He contributes to bring Procurement to the next level in terms of expertise, practices, positioning and operating capabilities.

o Local procurement teams of markets and main entities

Main activities

The Senior Business Partner is responsible for:

  • Business partnership with Group function (GO/GIE/SA/Entities) : Support business stakeholders in their sourcing needs on the category by challenging specifications, bringing market knowledge and negotiation skills and securing contracts. Meet high-level business stakeholder to ensure the appropriate anticipation of future needs and positioning of the Procurement function.
  • Category Management: Lead the category strategy and insure global consistency in scope. Closely collaborate with key stakeholders and procurement community (Group and Entity). Define a relevant Sourcing strategy for the category to globalize and consolidate needs and negotiations across entities. Organize a community of buyers in the category to share good practices, identify synergies etc.
  • Key Vendor Management: Implement a Key Vendor Management approach on the category to maximize the value delivered by the vendors. Measure performance, identify risks, remediate potential issues and escalate accordingly. Lead or participate in the reviews of key vendors together with Key Vendor Program Manager.
  • Spend optimization: Support AXA’s strategic plan in achieving expected savings. Carry out spend analytics on the category to identify efficiency opportunities aligned to Business needs. Execute action plans to deliver the expected savings.
  • Purchase pooling: Continuously endeavor to identify needs for pooling across entities to maximize sourcing benefits. Collect future project and business opportunities and assess synergy potential.
  • Demand Management: Work collaboratively upstream with business stakeholders to challenge needs and processes to achieve sustainable savings. Anticipate major evolution of needs, solutions, processes and models and advise or challenge the Business to express needs through value analysis methodology. Collaboratively draft sourcing strategies and budgets with business teams

Deliverables

The Senior Business Partner is responsible for the delivery of an aggressive savings plan (3 to 5%) by 2026 .

  • Ability to work in project mode and deliver taylor made solution
  • Highly commercial in approach. Skilled negotiator
  • Strong data interrogation and analytical skills
  • Fair understanding of main contractual areas (financials, operational and legal – Intellectual property Rights, Liability, GDPR knowledge)
  • Practical, hands on approach to get results
  • English – Fluent in speaking and writing – another European language is a plus

  • Influence, convincing skills vis-a-vis peers and also more senior stakeholders

Experience

  • Sourcing Category (> 5 years) or project manager
  • Solid experience of working in an international, decentralized and multicultural environment
  • Experience in project mode and in software/tool integration project
