Why this job matters

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Solution Train Engineer (STE) to oversee and manage multiple Agile Release Trains (ARTs) within our organization. This role is crucial in ensuring the successful delivery of complex solutions by coordinating and facilitating activities across multiple release trains, aligning with the business objectives, and driving continuous improvement.

What you’ll be doing

  • Oversee and coordinate multiple ARTs to ensure alignment with organizational goals and delivery timelines.

  • Facilitate ART ceremonies, including PI Planning, Scrum of Scrums, ART Sync.

  • Ensure synchronization and integration across ARTs, addressing dependencies and risks effectively.

  • Ensure all ARTs are aligned on goals, objectives, and deliverables.

  • Support the creation and management of PI plans, ensuring alignment with business priorities and strategic objectives.

  • Monitor PI progress and resolve impediments to ensure successful PI execution.

  • Implement and promote best practices and processes to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of ARTs.

  • Identify and implement opportunities for process improvements and innovation within the ARTs.

  • Monitor and report on the performance of ARTs, ensuring they meet or exceed delivery objectives and quality standards.

Experience you’ll have

  • Experience as an RTE/STE or as a large programme/portfolio manager in an Agile environment or managing large releases in an agile environment

  • Experience with SAFe or similar Agile frameworks. Certified would be advantageous.

  • Leadership and facilitation skills, with experience leading PI Planning and other ART ceremonies.

  • Technical Background: While an STE doesn’t necessarily need to be a software developer, having a solid technical background is beneficial.
