Our commitment to innovation retains our customer base and drives substantial revenue growth, as evidenced by Cimpress’ revenue in FY23 from custom print products, signage, apparel, packaging, and more.About the Role:As a Solution Architect (SA) at Cimpress Technology, you will help building architectures and solutions for customers and Cimpress owned businesses to achieve their business results. In this role, you will interact directly with customers to provide software architecture, design, and operations expertise that leverages your deep knowledge of and experience in designing and implementing scalable, reliable, and secure solutions using the MCP’s infrastructure and services, complementing it with industry tech, as required. You will develop and advocate best practices, gather and validate critical product feedback, and help customers overcome their operational challenges. Depending on business needs this position might require traveling to various international sites within our Cimpress Businesses, including manufacturing facilities and third-party partners.What You Will Do:Short Term:

  • Develop a deep understanding of MCP’s technology stack, including MCP services across domains, infrastructure components, security, and data management. Stay updated with the latest developments across the entire MCP.
  • Gain extensive knowledge of the mass customization industry and Cimpress businesses.
  • Build a strong relationship with your customers in a very short space of time, ensuring exemplary delivery standards.
  • Solution Design: collaborate with partner businesses, product managers, and development teams across several domains to gather requirements and design scalable and cost-effective solutions. Create architectural diagrams, documentation, and presentations to communicate the design to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Performance Optimization: identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in solutions by monitoring and analyzing system performance. Collaborate with the domains towards establishing caching mechanisms, load balancing, and other optimization techniques to improve system responsiveness.

Long Term:

  • Keep customer’s needs at the forefront of solution design and decision-making. Understand customer use cases and business requirements to deliver solutions that provide maximum value and meet their objectives.
  • Work closely with Engineering and Product Management to drive the direction of the MCP products.
  • Enforce MCP’s architectural principles and best practices when designing solutions. Ensure that designs are scalable, fault-tolerant, highly available, and secure. Leverage key leaders’ community to validate and improve solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams across domains to ensure successful implementation of solutions. Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and support to team members and stakeholders.
  • Ensure solutions meet MCP’s security and compliance requirements. Understand Cimpress Security recommendations and incorporate them into the design. Stay updated with Cimpress Security recommendations.
  • Embrace a culture of continuous learning and innovation. Stay up to date with MCP domain/services updates, new technologies, and industry best practices. Pursue relevant industry certifications, such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, to enhance your expertise.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of architectural designs, decisions, and implementation details. Share knowledge and contribute to the key leader’s community within CT through presentations, articles, and participation in relevant forums with partner businesses as well.

  • 10+ years of experience with systems integration and delivering applications over the Internet—software as a service with API connections.
  • Excellent communication skills and comfortable presenting to strategic partners and to the leadership team.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and proven track record to break down complexity.
  • Previous experience with DevOps and Agile methodologies.

Nice to Have:

  • Fluent communication in one or more European languages.
  • Previous background in working in the mass customization industry.
