Solution Architect Buying and MerchandisingFull-time, 38 hours a weekWill you be the new Solution Architect for Action Technology? You are familiar with the business domain and the technology solutions of a Buying & Merchandising department: from price management to promotion management and SAP Integration. You understand the dynamics of the business and the importance of these processes, so we can continue to surprise our customers on a daily basis. Do you know how to manage expectations and execute them in sprints or releases? If so, we’d like to get to know you.Your daily ‘Actions’At Action Technology, we implement our challenging roadmap for various Buying & Merchandising functions, such as formula management, promotion management and buying processes. One day we will be taking a greenfield approach to implementation and solving various technological challenges; the next we will be converting or replacing existing technologies. The other time we renovate or replace existing technology, constantly devising innovation and other solutions. Our landscape is constantly being updated, and you will be at the helm when it comes to putting the best solutions in place. You position ‘what do we do where and what scope do we apply’, but you are also the one who provides clear analysis and advice in the selection of technology.

Our Technology department adds value with centralised teams for Enterprise Architecture, IT Project & Portfolio Management, Development & Operations and multiple Business Technology (BizTech) teams.Within the BizTech team for Buying, Merchandising, Supply Chain and Finance, we implement the initiatives on the technology roadmap and use technology to support our business objectives. As a Solutions Architect, you will be involved in many of these initiatives and will discuss with the Domain Architect, the Portfolio Manager and the Service Delivery Manager how we can ensure the optimum solution for our users.Curious about your new manager? can’t wait to work with you!What you offerYou know the Buying & Merchandising domain, and you are familiar with the solutions, concepts and technology that support our business processes in the most optimal way. You understand the dynamics and division of responsibilities in an agile world and know how to work in Scrum teams. You will be able to work well with your Solution Architect colleagues and the Domain and Enterprise Architect. We do not need to tell you that this role always involves security, manageability, performance and scalability. In other words, it’s not all about Dev, but Ops, too.You realise that the architecture challenge extends beyond Digital alone, and you are ready to talk to various stakeholders, build bridges and make technical decisions.You also have the following:

  • You have an academic or higher professional education, preferably in information technology, IT or any other IT technical education
  • You have at least 5 years of relevant work experience in information technology and 3 years as Solutions Architect
  • You have proven experience in the Buying & Merchandising domain
  • You have experience with architecture frameworks and their implementation;
