Overview:Pwrteams are seeking a seasoned Solution Architect to join TUI Leadership Team and play a pivotal role in defining and driving architectural vision for the Booking Domain. In this role, you will set the architectural strategy, lead cross-functional collaboration across teams, and provide mentorship to a group of talented architects within a chapter setting. While you will not manage direct reports, your leadership will be instrumental in guiding our teams and steering our architectural direction.TUI, is a global business with over 70 000 people on board, great history and challenging plans for building a digital future. TUI is the largest leisure, travel and tourism company globally, and it owns travel agencies, hotels, airlines, cruise ships and retail shops. Responsibilities:
- Define and implement the architectural strategy for the Booking Domain across the organization, aligning with overall Group objectives.
- Work closely with at least 8 different teams to create, review, and refine architectural solutions that drive scalability and innovation.
- Lead and mentor a group of architects, fostering knowledge sharing, innovation, and best practices in architectural design.
- Facilitate regular chapter meetings to discuss architectural strategies, challenges, and advancements.
- Be actively involved in architectural design, ensuring alignment with both the Group-level objectives and domain-specific goals.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience with large-scale, global e-commerce platforms
- Extensive experience driving transformation, particularly in complex, evolving environment
- Expertise in transitioning from monolithic to microservice architecture, with a solid understanding of service-oriented architecture (SOA).
- Strong background in cloud-native architectures, with experience in cloud adoption (AWS experience is a plus).
- Experience in the travel industry is beneficial
- Willingness to travel (2 times per year)
