Job description
MISSIONManage, control, and supervise the operation of assigned solar/wind plants located in Italy. Ensure that the main contractors comply with the HSE requirements, the maintenance plans and the maintenance guidelines/procedures defined by O&M central Departments, with the scope of maximize power production, preserving lifecycle minimizing cost and with a high level of quality i of the assigned assets. Ensure the maintenance activities at the plants are performed in full compliance with applicable law and the directives related to H&S and environmental protection, as they are issued by EDPR.When required, support the rest of O&M local team in the management of other plants under the responsibility of the Head of O&M Italy.Collaborate strictly with the Asset Manager for the achievement of strategic objectives set for the assigned plants.MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIESensure the compliance of the local HSE legislation and regulation and company procedures in the assigned plant. * PROMOTE HSE INITIATIVES – Contribute to the identification and registration of non-conformities, promote corrective and preventive actions. Implement H&S best practices and ensure that all activities are carried out under the approved HSE system. Perform inspection in the plants and support the inspection/audit performed by other departments or consultants.
- MAIN SERVICE PROVIDERS – Approve the scheduling of the maintenance plans with the main contractors and authorize the implementation of maintenance activities in the assigned plants. Be the coordinator for the suppliers ensuring the fulfillment of the contractual obligations and optimizing the defined operational drivers and the performance.
- LOCAL OPERATION – Coordinate the local operation of the plants. Operate MV/HV Substations locally and coordinate with EDPR dispatching center for local and remote operations to be performed. Ensure the communication and coordination with the TSO.
- REPORTS – Ensure the maintenance contractors reports timely and according to their contractual obligations. Ensure proper and complete recording of relevant information through the Second level SCADA adopted by EDPR and all the tools made available by the company (i.e. SAP PM, Dynamics). Perform analysis based on the data collected by the SCADA systems and provide suitable information to support decisions.
- COOPERATION WITH REMOTE OPERATION and DISPATCH CENTRE – ensure the proper coordination with EDPR remote operation and dispatch center. Transmit weekly maintenance plan to remote control and dispatching center; update maintenance programs and planned unavailability when variations occur because of environmental, meteorological conditions or occurrence of faults.
- TSO/DSO interaction: collaborate with AM for fulfill the TSO/DSO procedure and Ensure proper contact with “ local ”representatives of the TSO in all the cases maneuvers are required to be performed remotely and locally
- CONTRACTORS MANAGEMENT – ensure proper conservation and optimal conditions of the plants, ensure timely resolution of malfunctions or any underperformance arisen from accidental events. Identify the service providers that can adequately fix the problems. Coordinate different suppliers involved and responsible to perform works. Manage and organize the activities covered by the maintenance contracts in place.
- OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE – Ensure the fulfillment of the scheduled activities as defined in the maintenance plans and related progresses from time to time addressed through the weekly planning.
- BUDGET DEFINITION AND FOLLOW UP: define the expected OPEX for the O&M activities. Perform the continuous follow up of the approved budged, track and report to the Asset Manager the unplanned costs.
- MANAGEMENT OF EMERGENCIES – Responsible for the first contacts with internal and external stakeholders (EDPr management, contractors, landowners, emergency bodies) in case of accidents or any kind of emergency occurring at the site.
- CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT – contribute to fostering Operational Excellence promoting the continuous improvement process in all the phases (analysis, definition, implementation, monitoring). Adopt the behavior and the mind set suitable to pursue continuous improvement of the processes, the operational drivers and the KPIs.
- COMPANY POLICY AND LEGAL COMPLIANCE – acknowledge and understand policies, directives and procedures implemented by EDPR. Ensure the compliance of the same by contractors.
REQUIRED PROFILEREQUIRED ACADEMIC SKILLS:
- Industrial technical high school Diploma: Degree in Engineering would be a plus.
- Languages: Italian, English, Spanish is a plus
REQUIRED PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:
- Desired: Minimum of 3 years of previous experience in the wind/solar industry with similar role
- Previous experience with CMMS tool (SAP PM) would be considered as an advantage.
