Software Manager – Routing protocols

This leadership role drives software development excellence within the networking domain by combining technical direction, people leadership, and cross-functional collaboration. The position plays a key role in delivering high-quality software solutions that support performance, scalability, availability, and flexibility goals across the product portfolio.

How you will make an impact:

• Lead a team of software developers by providing technical leadership and managerial guidance.
• Recruit and mentor team members to expand team capability and individual development.
• Review product requirements and feature requests, delivering development effort estimates and risk assessments to senior management.
• Influence architectural decisions, design reviews, code reviews, test plans, and technology strategy.
• Manage multiple concurrent projects to deliver committed features on schedule.
• Foster continuous improvement in software engineering practices and product quality across performance, scalability, availability, and flexibility objectives.
• Collaborate with software development teams, product line management, quality assurance (QA), and technical support teams.

The must haves:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
• Experience: 10+ years of experience in a software development role within the networking domain.
• Experience: 5+ years of experience in a technical leadership role and/or people management role.
• Knowledge of network routers, switches, or routing protocols such as OSPF and BGP.

Nice to haves:

• Utilization of a Linux development environment.
• Experience in open-source software development.
