Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.

• 1 year of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript).

• 1 year of experience with data structures or algorithms.

Preferred qualifications:

• Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD degree in Computer Science, with specialization in large distributed systems.

• Experience in machine learning or advanced programming.

The YouTube Knowledge team works on understanding and organizing YouTube’s corpus, helping search and discovery to continue driving YouTube’s growth.

In this role, you will be working on a variety of issues, including infrastructure, complex algorithms, data mining, and machine learning including Large Language Models (LLMs) and Generative AI. You will process data sets at YouTube scale (e.g., billions of users, videos and watch time hours). You will apply techniques to improve impactful products from YouTube, including Home, Search, Recommendations and Vertical Experiences (e.g., music, kids, gaming, living room, etc.).
