We are seeking experienced Software Engineers who are skilled programmers, passionate about cryptocurrencies and blockchain technologies, and have a track record of building highly scalable decentralized applications (dApps).As a Visa Software Engineer, you will be an integral part of a multi-functional development team inventing, designing, building, and testing software products that reach a truly global customer base. This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.QualificationsBasic Qualifications
8+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD, OR 11+ years of relevant work experience.Preferred Qualifications
9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or 7 or more relevant years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 3 or more years of experience with a PhD
Energy and Experience: A growth mindset that is curious and passionate about technologies and enjoys challenging projects on a global scale
Challenge the Status Quo: Comfort in pushing the boundaries, ‘hacking’ beyond traditional solutions
Language Expertise: Expertise in one or more general development languages (e.g., Java, C++)
Builder: Experience building and deploying modern services and web applications with quality and scalability
Strong understanding of blockchain networks (public and permissioned), DeFi, security protocols, key management, distributed ledgers – Ethereum, Hyperledger, Solana etc.
Experience developing smart contracts for the EVM compatible blockchains
Learner: Constant drive to learn new technologies such as Angular, React, Kubernetes, Docker, etc.
Partnership: Experience collaborating with Product, Test, Dev-ops, and Agile/Scrum teams
Experience in payments and financial services compliance, payments ecosystems and payment processing flows
