Dragon Medical One. Nuance Dragon Medical One (DMO) is used by more than half a million healthcare professionals to create clinical documentation on a regular basis. Whilst the USA is the biggest market for DMO, over the last years the number of users in Europe increased significantly.

As a Software Engineer in the Dragon Medical One team, you will analyse defects across the full stack of the Dragon Medical One application, from backend to endpoint with a strong focus on DMO instances deployed in European Azure data centers. You will also be able to contribute to the design, development, quality assurance and automated quality assurance aspects of software development to fix defects across the full stack of our product.

This opportunity will allow you to communicate with stakeholders and teams (numerous DMO engineering teams but also SRE, technical support, product management) located in different geographical locations (mostly USA, India, Europe).

Please note that this role is a flexible opportunity, which will allow you to predominantly work from home at a later date.

Responsibilities

We are looking for passionate people with experiences working with all service aspects of high throughput and multi-tenant services, ability to design components carefully, properly handle errors, write clean and well-factored code with good tests and good maintainability.  

Responsibilities include:

  • Analysis of defects across the full stack of the Dragon Medical One application, from backend to endpoint with a strong focus on DMO instances deployed in European Azure data centers.

  • Contribution to the design, development, quality assurance and automated quality assurance aspects of software development to fix defects across the full stack of the Nuance Dragon Medical One application

  • Contribution as part of a motivated team with expectation of working from the Microsoft Vienna office which is one of the three global engineering hubs where DMO has been and still is developed over the last fifteen years and option to shift to predominantly work from home at a later date

  • Communication with stakeholders and teams (numerous DMO engineering teams but also SRE, technical support, product management) located in different geographical locations (mostly USA, India, Europe)

Qualifications

Required/ Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND multi-year technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C#, C++, Java, JavaScript, or Python

  • Professional experience with programming languages: C# in Microsoft Windows frameworks and environments, as well as in programming environments and technologies such as Microsoft .NET, Microsoft Azure Cloud knowledge, Microsoft Operating systems and environments

  • Experience with agile development methodology, including Kanban, Scrum, TDD, BDD, as well as experience with development of client and server-side enterprise class applications

  • Excellent technical analytical, debugging and problem solving skills

Preferred/Additional Qualifications

  • Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment

  • Experience with product development for the Microsoft Azure platform

  • Experience with Android and iOS development

  • Experience with virtualization technologies: Citrix, VMWare, Microsoft Windows and with tools such as Git, Azure DevOps

Language Requirements

English Language: confident in reading, writing and speaking.

The salary for this role is starting from 66,900 euros per annum depending on experience.

  • This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
