• Solve technical problems in an ambiguous space with a huge customer/architecture impact

• Develop and have input into the design of the architecture used for both our user interface and backend services

A day in the life

The Marketplace Tech organisation is responsible for ensuring seamless customer experience in finding the best, most relevant offers to enjoy the third-party channel/TVOD content that customers love. Marketplace Tech (MT) organisation is composed of two teams: Selection & Retention.

The Channel Offers Signup Experience team within MT Selection Org is responsible for the sign-up experience of customers who subscribe to Prime Video Channels, including Channel offer presentation, plan selection view for Channel offers, workflow for Channel offers and post-channel Signup experience. The team own Tier-1 services.

They are typically on the critical path for most, PV launches. In addition to this, the team is also driving an ambitious program of architectural investments over the next 2-3 years to support the rapid worldwide scaling of PV capabilities .

About the team

The Channel Signup Experience team is looking for a Software Development Engineer to help drive the team’s vision of allowing Prime Video customers to seamlessly subscribe to our products in one second or less with zero faults, having the uttermost confidence in the reliability of our systems .

Basic Qualifications

• Experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems

• Experience in professional, non-internship software development

• Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent

• Experience with full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
