Core Responsibilities

Maintain and manage Skills Framework (keeping it current).

  • Support implementation of a coherent taxonomy that categorizes and details all relevant skills across the organization and then helps manage it.

  • Make sure the Taxonomy is aligned/integrated into existing people processes where relevant (example – Job Architecture, One Learning Plan).

  • Update the taxonomy to reflect changing industry standards, labor market changes, organizational needs using the Skills Governance process.

  • Assist Global Skills Architecture Lead to facilitate and chair the Skills Governance Forum and ensure the right Skills changes are made as per the processes set.

Stakeholder Collaboration.

  • Work closely with HR People Partners, Learning & Development (L&D) and Skills Families, and Functional leaders within Business to understand skill requirements and ensure the taxonomy aligns with Business Goals.

  • Collaborate with Business subject matter experts (Skills to accurately define and validate skills).

Skills Data Management and Analysis.

  • Use data-driven approaches to identify skill gaps and opportunities for development by working closely with the People Analytics expert supporting Skills and Learning.

  • Maintain an organized Workday database for tracking employee skills.

  • Help set up, implement and maintain standard Skills reports and Dashboard insights for Functional Leaders, L&D, Skill Families and HR Partners.

Maintaining the Skills Solution Design with Technology Product owner and teams.

  • Ensure the skills taxonomy is set up and working as per the LEGO U Solutions Design (SkyHive and Workday) and the right results are visible and available to colleagues, People leaders and HR partners.

  • Support the development and deployment of tools and platforms that use the skills taxonomy. This could be new learning solutions being integrated to support Skills and Learning experience development.

Support Learning and Development and Skills Families.

  • Guide the creation of learning and development programs based on identified skill needs.

  • Provide inputs to career path frameworks and progression plans that use the skills taxonomy as an advisor.

Skills Compliance and Quality Assurance.

  • Ensure the taxonomy meets industry standards (Outside in influence).

  • Regularly review and refine processes to maintain accuracy and relevance with Business subject matter experts.

Promotion, Awareness and Process.

  • Educate employees and leaders on the use and benefits of the skills taxonomy.

  • Produce documentation and training materials to support its implementation and ongoing use.

The Global Skills Taxonomy Manager will be responsible for developing, managing, and maintaining a comprehensive skills framework for categorizing skills within the LEGO Group. This role will be crucial in ensuring that the LEGO Group can effectively identify, assess, and develop the skills of its workforce depending on their PLANS.

Do you have what it takes?

  • Several years of experience in HR (Human Capital Management), or skills management.

  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.

  • Proficiency in data analysis and familiarity with HR, Skills Inferencing tools and Solutions and Learning platforms.

  • Excellent communication skills (proficiency in English) and collaboration abilities.

  • Experience with taxonomy or classification frameworks is a plus but not a must.

  • Travelling would be 10% and below across a business year.
