Are you an experienced professional with a passion for construction management and a strong commitment to Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) standards? We are looking for a dynamic Site Manager to lead our Construction Demolition Material (CDM) site operations.Key Responsibilities:1. HSE:

  • Champion a zero-incident culture by implementing and monitoring safety protocols.
  • Conduct thorough onboarding for new hires, workers, subcontractors, and temporary workers.
  • Ensure compliance with HSE regulations, focusing on LOTOTO, Critical Control Management (CCM), and work permits.
  • Regularly inspect the site to ensure the cleanliness of facilities and adherence to PPE requirements by all staff and visitors.
  • Maintain regular contact with local residents, municipal authorities, and nearby businesses to ensure compliance with environmental permits and instructions.

2. People Management:

  • Lead, motivate, and develop a team of 10-20 employees.
  • Conduct daily inspections and manage schedules, including start times, lunch breaks, leave requests, and reimbursement requests.
  • Communicate important information to staff and ensure their understanding and integration.
  • Organize daily toolbox meetings covering HSE, production planning, production issues, quality issues, and best practices.
  • Listen and address concerns, problems, and issues raised by the workers on site.

3. Client and Administration orientation :

  • Maintain the site’s professionalism and uphold the company’s image.
  • Address client concerns proactively and ensure high-quality product delivery.
  • Facilitate effective communication with administrative support services, including HR, Credit Support, Accountancy, Legal, and IT.
  • Ensure adherence to Bancontact payment rules and other administrative procedures.

4. Operations:

  • Oversee production processes for concrete and recycled aggregates, ensuring compliance with standards, regulations, and quality procedures.
  • Optimize equipment usage and ensure resource availability.
  • Maintain site housekeeping standards and manage the consistency and accuracy of end-of-month inventories.
  • Plan, order, track, and control supplies of raw materials.
  • Consider innovations or adaptations to improve internal functioning and customer service.

5. Maintenance:

  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance plans for all installations, including concrete plants and crushing/screening plants.
  • Manage maintenance budgets and ensure adherence to HSE standards.
  • Create a roadmap in collaboration with the HSE officer to make installations comply with company standards.
  • Plan and execute maintenance tasks and respect maintenance KPIs.

6. Quality Control:

  • Collaborate with quality personnel to ensure the conformity of delivered/produced raw materials.
  • Monitor the dosages (weighing of raw materials) and the quality of concrete and recycled aggregates.
  • Ensure compliance with internal and external quality procedures and certification organizations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Mechanical, Electrical, or Electromechanical Engineering. A Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering is preferred.
  • Proven experience in managing teams within an industrial environment, with operational and budgetary responsibilities.
  • Strong HSE mindset and technical skills in maintenance, along with proficiency in office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Email).
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to handle stress and work flexible hours.
  • Fluency in both French and Dutch is required.
