You can demonstrate knowledge in Full Stack or pure back/pure front programming languages and frameworks (JAVA, C, C++, Python, or any other)
You are familiar with compilation/code building/continuous integration
You have knowledge of IS Computing Platforms, Operating Systems, and Hypervisors
You know Agile principlesNICE TO HAVE:In particular, the candidate shall have an excellent knowledge of:
- Model-driven object-oriented software design and development (UML, MDXML, UMF)
- Scripting and programming languages: C++, C, Javascript, Python, Bash under GNU/Linux
- Architectural design
- Development of both Flight and Ground Simulation Models, including the On-Board Computer, as well as the Avionics and Payload Sub-Systems, according to the equipment interface specification
- Integration and configuration of simulation models
- Model sharing aimed at plug & play reuse
- Planning and execution of unit/integration/validation tests
- Documentation preparation: Requirements Specification, Architectural and Detailed Design Description, Interface Requirements, User Manual, Verification and Validation Test Plan & Report.
The knowledge of software development methods and standards is required. The knowledge of ECSS standards is considered an asset. In particular, the knowledge of SMP2 or ECSS-SMP is a plus.
A proficient knowledge of communication systems architectures and protocols (e.g. ISO/OSI) including specific network technologies (MIL-STD-1553B, Can Bus, SpaceWire, etc.) is a plus.-Education and Qualifications
- Master Degree or PhD in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
- Fluent English (at least C1), both spoken and written.
- At least 2-3 years of experience in a similar job.
-Skills and Ideal Experience
The selected candidate shall master the underlying technologies including:
- Simulation Model Portability (SMP) standards;
- Spacecraft Simulation Reference Architectures;
- Real-time simulation kernels;
- Multi-core processors (e.g., GR740 4xLEON4, SPARC v8 instruction set);
- Hypervisors;
- instruction set emulation;
- Communication standards (CCSDS/ECSS) and protocols (MIL-STD-1553, CAN, SpaceWire, UART);
- Object oriented programming;
- Real-time embedded software.
The candidate is required to work both independently and within a team and shall foster the co-engineering between the different teams involved in the project (C&C team, Avionic team, SW team, AOC team, etc.).-Behaviour and personality

LIFE AS A THALES SOFTWARE SOLUTIONS ENGINEERING ROLEAs a Software Solutions Engineering Role within Thales you will:Work within in a Scrum team with other software developers, in Agile mode
Contribute to the requirement definition, to the software design and you will be involved with the architectural aspects of the software projects
Integrate software components into a fully functional software system
Write well-designed, documented and testable code
Develop, test and execute full software development life cycle
Design, implement and test features with scalability, performance, deployment/operation and end-user experience in mind
Make estimations and give inputs for planning together with the team members
Collaborate with other software solutions engineer to share knowledge and improve overall product/solution
